Famous people are famous for a reason, right? They have experiences that we don’t have. They’ve lived different lives that we could learn from. What wisdom would Caroline Kennedy give you? Or Geena Davis? Or Walter Cronkite? Well, thanks to Yakima Town Hall, you don’t have to leave town to see speakers of this caliber. For nearly 47 years, the all-women, all-volunteer board brings world-renowned personalities to Yakima each year – speakers that even big cities have a hard time getting (Monica Lewinsky, for example, who is closing out the 2020 season). A season ticket is $85 (that’s to see ALL speakers), and Town Hall also gives over 150 students free seats to each show. Now that’s #girlpower.
