Loving Urban Kitchen Yakima– pop-up restaurants where local teens cook and serve your dinner. Urban Kitchen Yakima is a culinary program for valley students, created by “Fat Pastor” Shawn Niles in collaboration with the Yakima Police Activities League (YPAL). Over the course of four months, students learn culinary skills, explore their own creativity, and develop business skills as they envision, plan, and carry out a three-night pop-up restaurant.
