COMMENT OF THE WEEK
"We're grateful to have CCC (Cowiche Canyon Conservancy) lands featured (a few times!) on Yakima365's recent 'Guide to Getting Outside'. It's a concise display of the diverse outdoor recreation options that exist within 30 minutes of downtown Yakima."
Cowiche Canyon Conservancy, thanks for the and for protecting our sparkling backyard! Yaki-friends, the CCC website is a fab resource. There are maps and tips about dogs and coyotes and bears. We highly recommend their newsletter so you can stay in touch with their happenings.

Team I Heart Yakima works out at a lot of places, but for our Pilates, and overall CORE workout needs, Premier Fitness Studio is our go-to. Owners Ken and Jackie have created a low-key, friendly gym where all fitness levels can find a class (they offer more than Pilates), some inspiration, and a familiar face. Bridget gives a thumbs up to spin (Cy-Core) and Pilates mat and jump, and Lauren likes a classic Pilates Reformer class or a treadmill workout when it's too dark and cold to run outside. There's no fancy locker room or supplements, and we are A-OKAY with that. We crush on the community, teachers, and Larkin, the studio dog, who sometimes makes an appearance and slows everything down with his cuteness. Want to try it out? Every Monday, there is a Pilates Intro class where you get the basics and an overview of the studio. You can sign up online or drop them an email. It's FREE. No previous Pilates experience req'd.
