Yakima summers are legendary for their "dry heat," which is code for: HOT in the sun. But find a slice of shade, and voila - heaven. Looking for some other ways too cool off? 'Tis the season for the cherry pitter and summer adventures. Are you Team Rainier or Bing?! Find your favorites at Johnson Orchards, and while you’re there, pick up a clean-burning, locally-made candle that we’re crushing on. Next, we’d suggest packing up your favorite sweet morsels and heading out to Tieton to see what's new, or chase down the valley's youngest ice cream maker at one of her stops.
